Belarusian retailer Eurotorg reports BYN 102.5 million net profit for 2017
Leading finance and business newswire Reuters reported that Eurotorg recorded net profit for 2017 of BYN 102.5 million (USD 53.1 million), compared to a net loss the previous year of BYN 3.93 billion (USD 2.04 billion).
The newswire also noted the company's decision to pay a dividend of USD 10 million, and that Eurotorg is considering a number of options on international capital markets, including a potential IPO.
Reuters cited Eurotorg CEO Andrey Zubkou, who told the newswire in an interview that the company is continuing to expand into smaller settlements across Belarus with a total population of almost 2 million people. Eurotorg is also considering expanding its fast-growing online offering into neighboring countries.
